Clinical

At the completion of each flight, the transport team's flight notes are uploaded via the Internet to our secure server. Then the Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor carefully review them. Any areas of concern are noted and discussed with the flight crew.
Customer Service
An evaluation card is given to the family after the flight, requesting them to evaluate our service and the care provided to the patient.
Safety Management System
There seems to be an underlying misunderstanding between a quality management system and a safety management system. You can have a quality service, as defined by the ISO standards, and still not have a safe service. One of the purposes of an SMS is to improve the safety performance, and therefore reduce the exposure to the risk of having an accident. It is not focused on the safety record per se.
Jet Rescue has implemented an SMS before it is required by the FAA and DGAC.

The International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and its member associations, is a recommended code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve high levels of safety and professionalism. IS-BAO is an industry standard built for operators, by operators that provide standards based on the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS). Both the FAA and CAA in Canada recognize IS-BAO as meeting the ICAO standard. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) also recognizes IS-BAO as an industry standard for business aircraft operations.Jet Rescue has started this accreditation process in October 2016.
Jet Rescue has been awarded EURAMI accreditation. The European Aeromedical Institute is located in Germany and sets the international standards for air medical transport worldwide.
