International Travel Insurance

When traveling outside of the United States, it is a good idea to verify that your current insurance covers medical care in other countries. Medical care abroad can be expensive and require payment up front. Planning an international trip can be an exciting time but it would be good to research the level of medical care available where you are visiting. Most of this information can be found on the US Embassy website of that country.

If your insurance policy doesn’t cover you abroad, consider purchasing a short-term plan that would. There are travel agents and insurance companies that offer a supplemental plan to cover any medical costs incurred overseas. The State Department offers an in-depth list of some of those companies.

Medicare Supplemental Coverage for an Air Ambulance

International Air Ambulance transport may also be covered by certain Medicare Supplemental Plans  under certain circumstances. Don´t hesitate call us ond one of our experience insurance agents will determine in a matter of minutes your level of coverage and elegibility.
